Runners with no overnight price are excluded, as are moves under 5% — on a rounded fractional price that is mostly rounding. About three quarters of runners move at all, and roughly twice as many drift as steam: that asymmetry is mostly mechanical, since a price can double but can only halve, and money concentrating on a few horses pushes everything else out. Move size scales with price rather than field size.
