Who we are

PostTime (posttime.bet) is an AI-powered horse racing tips service. You can read every tip, result and record on this site without an account and without giving us anything. Some optional features — saving your own bets, email results, push alerts — do need details from you, and this page says exactly what each one stores.

Correction, August 2026

An earlier version of this page said we collected no personal data and held no betting history or contact details. That was wrong: optional accounts, the saved bet log, the results email and push alerts all existed at the time and all store data. It was our error, not a change of practice, and the sections below now describe what is actually held. Nothing was ever sold or shared with advertisers.

A security and data-protection review the same week also led to real changes rather than just wording: the results email became double opt-in so nobody can be signed up by someone else, deleting a bet now revokes any card shared from it, the marketing cookie was removed, and downloading or deleting everything we hold became self-service instead of an email request.

Browsing the site, without an account

We use Vercel Analytics to measure traffic. This collects anonymous, aggregated data including:

  • Pages visited
  • Country of origin (not precise location)
  • Device type and browser
  • Referral source

This data is not linked to any individual and we cannot identify you from it. No cookies are set for analytics purposes.

We set no analytics or advertising cookies at all. We previously set one, pt_ch, recording which channel referred your visit; it was removed in August 2026 because attribution is not strictly necessary to run the site and we were not asking your consent for it. Any copy still on your device from before then is simply ignored and expires on its own. The only cookies now set are the ones that keep you signed in, if you choose to create an account.

If you create an account

Accounts are optional and exist so you can keep your own bet record. If you make one we hold:

  • Your email address, used to sign you in. Authentication is handled by Supabase.
  • The bets you log — date, race, horse, price, stake, bet type, and the result and profit or loss once the race settles. This is your own record of what you backed. It is never merged into our published tipping record, and we never publish it.
  • Any bet card you choose to share, stored so the share link keeps working.

You can delete an individual logged bet yourself at any time from your account page, and deleting one also revokes any share card made from it.

If you subscribe to emails or alerts

  • Results email — we store your email address to send it. Sending is handled by Resend.
  • Push alerts — we store the subscription token your browser issues. It identifies a browser on a device, not you by name.

The results email is double opt-in: entering an address only sends a confirmation link, and nothing is added to the list until that link is clicked. Nobody can subscribe an address they do not control, and an unconfirmed request is deleted within a week. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe.

If you joined the waiting list for a staking feature we later shelved, we still hold that address. It is covered by the deletion route below, and we do not use it for anything else.

What we do not collect

  • Payment information. There is nothing to pay for — the site is free and we take no card details. If that ever changes, payments would be handled by a payment provider and card details still would not reach us.
  • Your bookmaker logins, balances or account details. We never ask for them and have no way to access them.
  • Your actual betting activity with bookmakers. The bet log holds only what you choose to type in.
  • Your name, address, date of birth or phone number.

How long we keep things

  • Your account and bet log — until you delete them. There is no automatic expiry, because the point of the log is to be a long record of your own betting. Delete the account and it goes immediately.
  • Email and push subscriptions — until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them.
  • Unconfirmed signup requests — one week, then deleted automatically.
  • Shared bet cards — 90 days, or immediately if you delete the bet or your account.
  • Abuse-prevention counters — these count requests against an IP address to stop spam. They expire within 24 hours.

We also keep a permanent, anonymous log of outbound bookmaker clicks — which bookmaker, which page, which race. It contains no account, name, email or IP address and cannot be traced to a person, which is why it is kept rather than aged out: it is the only record of which content ever earned anything.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate the site:

  • Vercel — hosting and analytics (privacy policy)
  • Supabase — account sign-in
  • Upstash — the database your logged bets and subscriptions are stored in
  • Resend — sending the results email
  • Anthropic Claude — AI tip generation. Your personal data is never sent to it; it only ever sees racecard data.
  • The Racing API — racecard data

Several of these are US-headquartered, so some data is processed outside the UK under the transfer safeguards in their own terms. We do not choose where each provider stores data beyond the options they offer, and we have no other recipients: your data is never sold, and never shared with advertisers or bookmakers.

Affiliate links and tracking

Some outbound links to bookmakers on this site may be affiliate links. When you click one, you pass through a redirect on our own site (a /go/… link) that records the click anonymously — which bookmaker, and which page you clicked from — and never anything that identifies you.

Where an affiliate relationship exists, that redirect passes a tracking reference to the bookmaker so that, if you go on to register or deposit with them, the referral is attributed to us and we may earn a commission. This is at no extra cost to you, and it never affects the odds, prices or offers you are shown — it has no influence on our tips, rankings or which bookmaker's price we highlight.

Once you leave posttime.bet you are on the bookmaker's own website, where their cookies and privacy policy apply, not ours. We do not receive your name, your account details or your betting activity from them — only anonymous, aggregated reporting about referrals.

Gambling can be addictive. 18+ only — please gamble responsibly. Support and advice are available at begambleaware.org.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of any personal data we hold about you, and to object to how we use it.

Two of those are self-service, on your account page, and take effect immediately:

  • Download my data — everything we hold about you, as a file.
  • Delete my account — your bet log, any share cards, your place on any mailing list, and the login itself. This cannot be undone.

For anything else — a correction, an objection, or a question about the above — email posttimebet@gmail.com from the address on your account and we will action it within one month, as UK GDPR requires.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. The date at the top of this page will always reflect the latest version.
