Add a going change from Good to Good-To-Yielding with little proven form on it for several of the market principals, and there is no honest way to isolate one horse from the pack at these prices.

Add in the first-time headgear trio and the two big weight-carriers up top, and there's no honest single read in a field this size.

What we said: Willie Mullins fields the clear class act here, with a stable-and-jockey combination running at 32% strike rate together and a stack of scope to fill against a field of unexposed types. Unraced but bred and drilled for exactly this sort of bumper, and market support at 2/1 already reflects a yard that saves its best for days like this at Galway. In a 20-runner field of unknowns, the one thing you can actually price with confidence is the Mullins operation's strength in numbers.

The market runners around him are stable second-string Thomas Chippendale, a big-priced Noel Meade debutant with a poor booking, and Zarak Pasha whose plain "4" form doesn't match the leading pair.

Big, unpredictable handicap field on ground that's just gone the wrong way for several of these — exactly the type of race where a single confident number isn't honest.
