What we said: Fourteen runners with at least five live form cases (El Matador's stack of seconds and thirds, Spoken Truth's solid course form, Return To Unit fresh from a big field win, Altareq and Strength Of Spirit both steaming hard) means no single angle cuts through the pack, and the two steamers here are market noise rather than a form story I can build a bet on. Cadarn and Double Parked both won last time out yet are drifting sharply, which only muddies the picture further in a race that's genuinely too broad to isolate.

With four or five runners each holding a plausible slice of this and nothing separating them cleanly at the prices, there's no runner here worth backing with real money.

What we said: Fourteen sprinters go to post at Hamilton and while Station X sits on top of the market off the back of a last-time-out win, the form figures (2-3-1-6-4-1) are patchy rather than progressive and his course figures actually run below expectation for the money he attracts; Territorial Knight, Milford and Top Juggler all bring plausible recent form too, and nothing separates them cleanly enough to isolate one. With the draw confirmed neutral at this trip and four or more genuine form lines in play, this is a race to watch rather than back.

The going switch to good-to-soft is also an open question for several of these — Fairydale has only the one run on it, and Ebony Maw's course/distance figures are a scattergun of minor placings rather than a story — so there's no single fact I can build a bet on.
